paduano bruto no 1

this blog is dedicated to the dreambike that i will be buildingin the following months.
the frame is a Paduano Bruto , high quality custom made italian titanium and carbon boron frame. the whole purpose of this blog is to inform people about component compatibility and also to hear constructive criticism .

it all started with me joining retrobike.co.uk a couple of years ago. it was for the first time then when someone posted a few pictures of a titanium frame. it was a moots YBB , and i sincerely thought that it was the nicest coolest bike frame i had ever seen.

since then i've started dreaming about a titanium frame and during the past 2 years i have been investigating and searching about the advantages and disadvantages(if there are any besides price) of these frames.

last year a friend of mine went to eurobike in germany and he took quite a few pics from the bike expo , among which , of course , titanium frame builders like merlin , litespeed, titus , van nicholas and of course paduano. i was abolutely impressed by the design of the paduano frames and because i was thinking at that time to build a full suspension bike, i instantly set my eyes on the bruto. i remember thinking that it looks 50 years ahead compared to the other frames.
only this year i managed to save up money and be able to afford the bruto , or another titanium frame. my custom bruto with upgraded boron carbon and with the mini seatpost kit comes at a price of 3802.14 euros (including shipping which was 90). iti is expensive but i will be the uberbike i had always dreamed of. the moots cinco would have been 3500e without shiping.

in the mean while i also became very much interested in the moots cinco and YBB frames and i started to exchange emails with a guy from moots. his replies were always a little bit arrogant when i was asking about frame sizes, tubing and dealers in europe . i always had the feeling that i was bothering him.
because i liked the bruto aswell i also started to chat with paduano, and guess what...it was Francesco Paduano himself answering my emails. the mail exchange went so well with Francesco that not only he offered me answers to all my questions but he also made a few very helpful suggestions. as a result of this nice way of communicating , i took the decision to order a Paduano Bruto frame, custom built for me and me only :)

so, from now on i will use this blog to keep an update of the build that i have started .

this is the spec list of what i want my paduano to become in the end, not too sure about the hidraulic shifters but i will give it a thorougher investigation when i have the 1.5k e
